Fender '65 Princeton Reverb Reissue Lacquered Tweed FSR Limited Edition 2015 – 12-Watt 1x12 Tube Combo

The Fender '65 Princeton Reverb Reissue Lacquered Tweed FSR Limited Edition combines one of Fender's most beloved American tube amplifier circuits with a striking vintage-style lacquered tweed finish and a larger 12-inch speaker. This particular 2015 FSR Limited Edition Princeton Reverb is in exceptionally clean condition and is being offered by Metz Music with its original manual and dust cover.

The '65 Princeton Reverb is celebrated for its dynamic Fender clean tones, natural tube breakup, long-spring reverb, and expressive tube tremolo. This FSR edition takes that classic black-panel-inspired platform and gives it a distinctive lacquered tweed appearance, making it especially appealing to players and collectors looking for a Princeton Reverb that stands apart from the standard black-and-silver version.

This is a 12-watt, all-tube 1x12 guitar combo amplifier featuring an Eminence Cannabis Rex 12-inch speaker, Fender spring reverb, and tube vibrato/tremolo. The larger 12-inch speaker gives this Princeton Reverb a fuller presentation and additional low-end presence while retaining the articulate, dynamic character associated with the Princeton platform.

A Classic Fender Princeton Reverb With a Distinctive FSR Finish

The Fender Princeton Reverb has long been valued for its ability to deliver rich, responsive tube tone at a practical power level. Fender's current standard '65 Princeton Reverb remains a 12-watt tube combo with Fender spring reverb and tube vibrato, continuing the same basic amplifier concept that made the Princeton Reverb a recording, rehearsal, home, and small-stage favorite.

This FSR Limited Edition Lacquered Tweed version adds considerably more visual character.

The lacquered tweed covering gives the amplifier a warm, vintage-inspired appearance, complemented by vintage-style grille cloth and classic Fender appointments. Instead of the familiar black-and-silver Princeton Reverb look, this FSR version combines the iconic Fender amplifier design with the unmistakable aesthetic of a lacquered tweed Fender.

12-Watt Tube Tone With a 12-Inch Eminence Cannabis Rex Speaker

One of the defining features of this particular Princeton Reverb FSR is its 12-inch Eminence Cannabis Rex speaker.

The standard '65 Princeton Reverb is equipped with a 10-inch speaker, while the Lacquered Tweed FSR uses a larger 12-inch Eminence Cannabis Rex. The 12-inch configuration provides a bigger sonic presentation, with additional low-end authority and projection while retaining the clear, articulate character that makes the Princeton Reverb so useful for guitarists.

The combination of the Princeton's tube circuit and Cannabis Rex speaker makes this amplifier equally at home with single-coil guitars, humbuckers, pedals, recording setups, and live applications where expressive tube response is important.

Fender Spring Reverb & Tube Tremolo

The unmistakable sound of the Princeton Reverb is not just about its clean tone.

This amplifier features Fender's long-spring reverb and tube-driven tremolo/vibrato, providing two of the classic effects that helped establish the Princeton Reverb's distinctive voice.

The reverb can move from subtle ambience to lush, spacious Fender-style wash, while the tremolo provides everything from gentle pulsing movement to deeper rhythmic modulation.

Together with the amplifier's touch-sensitive tube response, these effects make the '65 Princeton Reverb an exceptionally versatile platform for blues, country, rock, indie, jazz, Americana, surf, studio work, and pedal-based rigs.

A Special 2015 FSR Princeton Reverb for Players & Collectors

This 2015 Fender '65 Princeton Reverb Reissue FSR Limited Edition is particularly appealing to collectors and players who want a Princeton Reverb that is both sonically familiar and visually uncommon.

The amplifier is being offered in exceptionally clean condition, with no visible defects noted. The sale includes the original manual and dust cover.

Whether you're looking for a compact American tube combo for recording, a responsive pedal platform, a classic Fender clean tone for smaller stages, or a distinctive limited-edition Princeton Reverb for your collection, this Lacquered Tweed FSR offers a compelling combination of classic Fender circuitry, 12-inch speaker performance, and limited-edition styling.

Why the Fender '65 Princeton Reverb Remains a Classic

The '65 Princeton Reverb is based on the classic Fender black-panel-era approach to guitar amplification, delivering the sparkling cleans, natural tube compression, warm breakup, and spacious reverb that guitarists have relied on for decades.

Its 12-watt output provides enough power for recording and many live applications while allowing the amplifier's tubes to become part of the sound at manageable volume levels.

The result is an amplifier that can provide:

• Sparkling Fender-style clean tones
• Natural tube breakup when pushed
• Touch-sensitive dynamic response
• Rich spring reverb
• Classic tube tremolo/vibrato
• A larger and fuller 12-inch speaker presentation
• Excellent compatibility with guitar pedals
• A compact, practical combo format
