For effortless playability, the rasted maple neck features the Modern D profile and smooth Ultra Satin finish. The quartersawn maple 10”-14” compound radius fingerboard features Ultra rolled edges, medium-jumbo frets, Luminlay side dots and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut. Under the hood, this special instrument includes upgraded Custom Shop Texas Special pickups. Custom Shop Texas Special Telecaster pickups are over-wound for increased output, and are made with alnico 5 magnets and enamel-coated magnet wire for outstanding presence and midrange. Nickel/silver neck pickup cover produces clear, warm Telecaster tone; bridge pickup features height-staggered polepieces and copper-plated steel bottom plate. Fender's patented S-1 switch cleverly engages a series wiring option for even more tonal variety. Additional road-ready features include 6-saddle string-through-body bridge with chromed brass saddles, Deluxe locking tuners, knurled aluminum knobs and 1-ply anodized aluminum pickguard.
