The guitar uses an EMG H pickup in the neck position and an EMG 85 pickup in the bridge position, forming an HH configuration with active electronics. The EMG 85 bridge pickup provides the high-output voice and aggressive response needed for heavy riffs, while the EMG H neck pickup offers a powerful, articulate alternative for leads, atmospheric effects, and cleaner passages.

Controls consist of separate Volume 1 and Volume 2 controls for the neck and bridge pickups, plus a Master Tone control. A 3-position toggle selects bridge, bridge-and-neck, or neck pickup operation.
