Its 27.2"–25.5" multi-scale design provides additional scale length on the low strings while retaining a familiar 25.5" feel on the high strings. The result is a balanced platform for everything from low-tuned rhythm work and complex chord voicings to fast lead playing and technical techniques.

The Parallel Wizard AS neck uses a 5-piece Maple/Walnut construction with an asymmetric profile and consistent 21mm thickness. Ibanez designed this shape to provide a comfortable grip and natural hand position, making techniques such as sweeping and string skipping feel especially natural.

The neck also uses a three-screw neck joint, which Ibanez developed to provide a strong connection while improving access to the upper frets.

The A527-NSH is equipped with a powerful pair of Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers, with an Alnico 8 pickup in the neck and a Ceramic 8 pickup in the bridge.
