For sale from Metz Music is this beautiful vintage 5x14 Ludwig Supraphonic 400 snare drum from the late 1960s (1968 by stamp). This drum is in excellent condition, with only a small amount of the pitting and flaking often seen on the aluminum shell. It is all original aside from the heads and has been well cared for with only light signs of age and wear. The P-83 strainer operates smoothly, as does the original 1" dial style internal muffler. The original 10 Imperial lugs are in great condition with minimal signs of age. The keystone badge is nice and tight with serial # 432958 and an internal date stamp of Dec 27 1968. Most importantly, this snare tunes up like a champ and sounds terrific with all the crisp, clear projection one would expect from a '60s Supra. Why pay over $649 for a new Supraphonic when you can get this clean fantastic sounding vintage example for less? Don't miss out on this one!
