The Avid Eleven Rack is a discontinued but popular guitar processor and audio interface known for its realistic amp/cab modeling (like Marshall, Fender, Vox) and built-in DSP for use with Pro Tools, featuring True-Z impedance matching for authentic feel, and acting as a studio tool for recording/re-amping or a live rig front-end, offering extensive effects.
Key Features & Functions:
- Amp & Cabinet Modeling: Emulates famous amps (Marshall Plexi, Fender Blackface/Tweed, Vox AC30) and speaker cabs with realistic mic placement options.
- DSP Power: Uses onboard processing to reduce computer CPU/RAM load when recording.
- Audio Interface: Functions as a USB audio interface for Mac/PC, supporting high-resolution recording.
- True-Z Impedance Matching: Senses guitar pickup dynamics for a natural, amp-like feel.
- Effects: Includes reverbs, delays, distortions, modulation, EQ, and compression.
- Re-Amping: Allows recording a dry guitar signal and re-amping it through the Eleven Rack later.
