The 2005 Epiphone Dot Deluxe Flame Top is an upgraded, premium variant of the standard Epiphone Dot, offering the classic, woody semi-hollow tones and aesthetic of a Gibson ES-335 at a much more affordable price. It is celebrated for its stunning flame maple veneer and vintage-style gold hardware.
This Epiphone Dot Deluxe has a semi-hollow body with a laminated maple top (featuring a flame maple veneer), maple back and sides, and a solid mahogany center block for sustain and feedback reduction. Unlike later 2008–2019 models which feature mahogany, the 2005 Deluxe run generally featured a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and standard Dot inlays. This guitar features premium gold hardware, which includes gold Grover tuners, a gold Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. It's outfitted with dual Alnico humbucker pickups, governed by standard Gibson-style controls (2 volumes, 2 tones, and a 3-way pickup selector switch).
We performed a complete setup on this one so it is playing at its absolute best and is ready to go when you unbox it. There are no major dings or blemishes, but there is significant oxidation on the metal parts. We have cleaned it up a lot but there is still some there.
